Jochen_S
A co-worker just unloaded 2 of these buggers. Film is discontinued AFAIK. Is it worth hacking them? / are the lenses half decent? Any conversion projects documented on the web? Other ideas? - It seems a complicated task. Polaroid Swingers make by far better hamster homes than these Kodaks, so I'd like to try something reasonable. - Thanks.
grapegeek
Many people hack some of the better models, especially the 250, 350/360 models. Since they are essentially free, it's up to you. Some convert to 120 or medium format. Search the archives here for some ideas.
nano_burger
I always considered the Kodak istant cameras the ugliest cameras ever made! I have a "The Handle" Kodak camera...not sure who designed this abomination, but boy is it ugly. Ideas for hacking... Dismantle some 600 pack film in a darkroom and use individual sheets in the camera and "develop" it in a Polaroid camera. I've seen it done, but way too much trouble. My favorite; dismantle the lens assembly and turn it into a pinhole camera. Modify the back for sheet film holders. Take lens assembly and use on your favorite folder or press camera. You will have a nice autoexposure medium format camera. Just some ideas..
