joe_mcinerney
I shot a roll of Fuji Reala 120mm through my pinhole. Exposures were 30 secondsand 1 minute. Had this been black and white, I would have cut my developmenttime by 25 percent.Should I have the same thing done to my color film? I will be having itprocessed at a lab. There are only a few labs left in Cleveland. Does anyonesend their C41 film out for special processing? So, what do I do?Thanks,Joe
photo_smith
You can't pull C-41 really, but don't worry as it normally has the latitude +2/-2 stops.http://www.photo-utopia.blogspot.com/
gene_e._mccluney
The standard developer processing time for C-41 color negative film in C-41 developer is 3.25 minutes. Three and a quarter minutes. Almost all consumer processing of C-41 is done in automatic machines that do not allow for adjusting the processing time, it is fixed. If you do C-41 in your home darkroom, then you COULD cut the developer time a teeny bit, but, as mentioned above, on most C-41 films the exposure latitude is great enough to allow you to recover highlights from film overexposed by 2 stops. scott_eaton
Reala has *IMMENSE* over exposure lattitude. Your film scanner will catch fire long before the film will.
