Non functions in my photonet

It has dwaned on me that for the last several weeks the 'Notify me

of responses' option on either the submit page or on the thread

itself has failed to work for me. Also, I cannot seem to upload an

image in a thread, even though the imnage is a jpg of 97Kb measuring

511 pixels in its longest (vertical) dimension.

 

Could there be some silly reason (a cookie clearout? account not

updated) why both these things are malfunctioning?

Image uploading is likely related to format. A jpeg isn't a jpeg. There are various flavors and some programs save in the wrong flavor for photo.net. Try saving your jpeg from some other program and see if that works. For examples jpegs saved from Micrografx Picture Publisher won't open as inline images when uploaded to photo.net via a forum thread.

Thanks, Bob, that did the trick for the images, anyway. I had been using a GIMP-derived jpg, and have now tried an IrfanView-derived jpg.
