joseph_finch
Has anyone used the Linhof focusing/metering bellows? What were the results and how does it function? Thanks,
neal_chaves1
The focus bellows is really quite good, but light metering through it is not practical. Unfortunately, most of the bellows have foam lining that has deteriorated, and replacement by Linhof is very expensive. Don't pass up on with bad foam for a bargain price. When mine went bad, I had a dive shop duplicate it in thin, neoprene wet suit material, glued and sewn for about $30. It was far superior to the original. brian_ellis3
I used to own this bellows. I didn't use it for metering, my hope was that it would replace the darkcloth. However, I found that I didn't like squinting through the small circular viewer, it reminded me too much of using a roll film camera. However the bellows itself worked well, it was just my personal preference that caused me to get rid of it.
Jochen_S
I haven't finished restoring my one. My girlfriend did kindly sew some foam material to replace the rotten original. If you prefer focusing with both eyes a darkcloth and readingglasses should do better.
