chris_waller
I love this type of photography. i witnessed my former home town turning from energetic industrial town through dereliction to sprawling dormitory housing estate for the nearest big towns and cities. edmo
Gene, nice series though Im wondering what your thoughts are regarding the contrast in the images. The images seem good but a little flat to me. Is this your intent?
I agree with Karel, interesting site abandoned-places. Also for anybody thats interested in this sort of thing heres a page with a lot of links for urban decay or industrial archeology.
Gene, thanks for the update. gene m
The shots were done with primitive cameras which produce inherently "flat" negatives. I used these cameras because I felt the look they gave my photos was appropriate for the subject matter.
edmo
I understand what cameras you used (its very clear on your website). Inherent or not flat negatives can be dealt with.
I was just wondering why some of them didnt have the contrast that others do like "Bechertown waste14" (my favorites) or "Warebarns on waste9" amongst others. gene m
Every now and then a pinhole or toy camera will produce a contrasty negative.
