matthew_baldock
Hi there I am new to the site and have tried to submit a photo for a week now with no joy. Whenever I try and post one it says No folder id, I have tried all combinations of file size and the amount of lines in the description as I have read on the forums that this may help, although I suspect these fixes may be nothing but a coincidence. I don't want to have a dig, but as this seems to be a long standing problem that crops up with regularity, is there no way to fix it? As it is a great shame to put people off with a bug that has been around for so long. Any help appreciated. Thanks!
john falkenstine
Do you have a folder with a title BEFORE you are posting a picture?

mottershead
I haven't seen a bug with "no folder id" before, although there is a known, intermittent problem with "no photo id" in the same situation. I agree that it is shame to put people off, and we would certainly fix the problem if we knew what was causing it. I have been completely unable to reproduce it, although it is reported maybe once every week or two, and probably other people suffer through it in silence. One thing that some people have found that works around the "no photo id" problem is to reduce to a minimum the amount of information you are putting in about the photo. So, make all the fields in the input form empty, or if they are required, keep them short. This might work with the "no folder id" problem too, assuming that it is a variant of the same issue, whatever that may be.
