george_shihanian
We need Koko to teach that guy how to hold a camera!
lex_jenkins
I'd kinda like to see the look on Koko's face after handling an Olympus digicam and seeing the pic instantly displayed on the LCD screen. That'd be a hoot. Is Koko still alive? Someone should suggest that to Nat'l Geo as an update or sequel for their cover.
george_shihanian
Yes, Koko is still alive, she was born in 1971. There's an entire site devoted to her and the gorilla project at www.koko.org Interestingly, the logo for the organization is an OM-1!
george_shihanian
Let me correct myself- One of the logos is Koko holding the OM-1.
lex_jenkins
Somebody needs to remind them that Koko's preferred photographic instrument was either the OM-2 or OM-2N, I don't recall. Definitely not the OM-1. In fact, I credit Koko with galvanizing public acceptance of autoexposure in serious SLRs. The influence remains today. Koko was a pioneer and prophet.
