1.
I live in Brooklyn in a brick house. I have air conditioning and heat but there are still big fluctuations in temperature due to the changing seasons. When it is 80 degrees outside in summer it is 75 degrees in that closet. I don't want to air condition the whole house for my negatives in the closet to be cool. Also if it is humid outside it can get humid in the house. There is no central air-conditioning in my house. My negatives are my life! I want to protect them.

 2.
I have my negatives in a closet for the past thirty years. I am still an active photographer. To my horror I noticed that some of the earliest work I've shot in the 1970s has some silver erosion. I am now thinking to invest in a micro-airconditioner for the closet to allow for a more stable temperature. I am concerned about condensation etc. I would love to hear some suggestions from people who have experience setting something like this up in their homes.
