  1. Trying to change my username. I've changed my screen name, but it still shows what was used when I first signed up. I've tried changing the screen name, then saving, log out, log back in. Still no change. Can anyone help with this?
  2. I got my RB67 Pro SD back in mid October 2019 with the 127mm lens to start with. I purposely only got one lens so I could use the camera for several months and then have a better idea of what focal length(s) I would need next. Mainly doing landscape/nature photography, so I'm very interested in hearing what others are using.
  3. If I remember when I bought mine about a year ago, I had the same issue. Besides the battery and the multi switch, I can think of a couple of other things it could be. Here's what the manual has on troubleshooting your issue. My problem was with 2C below. Hope this helps.
  4. That switch is for the Depth of Field preview. Basically, keeping it in AUTO keeps the diaphragm fully open until the shutter is released. The meter will work with the switch in either position. When in auto, you will always see maximum amount of light through the viewfinder, but the meter will change when adjusting shutter speed or f/stop. When in MAN mode when looking through the viewfinder, the amount of light will change depending on what f/stop you are using. Hope that makes sense.
  5. I agree about the film. I have some Provia 100 and Velvia 50 waiting to be used once I'm more confident with the camera. I'll be using Ektar 100 to start with.
  6. Just got my Mamiya RB67 Pro SD with the 127mm lens yesterday. I'm really excited about it. This is my second medium format Mamiya. I bought a M645 this time last year and really enjoy it. I wanted a camera that could do portrait layout pictures as well, which the RB67 is all about with the rotating film back.
  7. I was also wondering what the "sample" meant. I'm looking at buying an RB in the next month. Currently watching about 2 dozen on eBay, mainly the Pro S model and a couple of SD's.
  8. I just got a working Epson V500 at a garage sale for $25 and it works great on my Windows 10 PC (was able to download and install the Epson driver and software without any issues). So far from my test scans, I'm getting pretty decent results other than them being a tiny bit out of focus in certain areas. I'm using negatives that were scanned by The Darkroom as my reference. I might need to flatten the negatives out to see if that helps.
  9. Which meter prism do you have (AE, CdS or PD)? The settings are different for each. The AE and PD require the camera body shutter speed to be on the red dot, the CdS does not. I found out the hard way when using my CdS Finder that having the camera body shutter speed on the red dot causes the mirror to stay locked up until you wind it to the next frame. In your explanation, it sounds like you went through all the camera body shutter speeds and it's on the 1/250th that is having this issue. Very weird. Have you tried removing the prism finder to see if you can duplicate the mirror lockup with just the camera body shutter speed control?
  10. Just came across this thread. I have an Autocord that needs a CLA from Karl. Can I get his contact info?
  11. I have a several Weston's, GE's, and a Sekonic L-86 (some work, some don't) with the Selenium batteries. Decided to upgrade to something more reliable, so I just bought a Sekonic L-188, Sekonic L-438 and a Pentax Spotmeter V from eBay. Got good deals on all 3.
  12. I'm glad this thread was revived. I found the information about scanning MF negatives very educational. I plan to start doing that and I am in the research mode of what scanner to get, issues that people have had, etc.
  13. Another place you could try is Blue Moon Camera in Portland Or. You'd have to contact them to see if they could work on your camera. Blue Moon Camera and Machine | Cameras, Typewriters, and Film Processing | Portland, Oregon, USA
