1.
I recently bought a Burke and James Ingento Retouching Desk No.1 from an antique store, caught my eye last year and finally decided to purchase it as I found it to be intriguing.
I haven't been able to find any resources about it and its use, except for some eBay auctions vague description. I have heard of some books on the subject but haven't been able to find any.
I have never heard of such a product until now. It is very similar to the one pictured in this eBay auction, though it is in rough shape. I am hoping to refurbish it a bit and replace some missing parts.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Antique-Ingento-Burke-James-Photo-Negative-Retouching-Desk-1-1911-/111616884160?nma=true&si=i7aSDRXF0M0fXWrGwCROzS89af4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Do you know any background to the piece as any resources about it?
Thank you, I appreciate it!

 2.
So this is fairly common.
I do associate it with a psychological phenomenon, and the first thought that came to mind is how blind people are able to perceive their surroundings with clarity, and how the mind is able to map out its surrounding with precision.
This would be a very interesting subject study, especially with the psychological aspects of it.
More so the paranoia comes from the possibility of light leaks. But so far so good!
Very interesting responses!

 3.
Has anyone had the sensation while developing large format film or any other processes requiring complete darkness, that you can almost see your surroundings in a sense?
I have become paranoid about it, though with knowing my darkroom very well, I can still see in a way despite not having any light.
Is this a common phenomenon?

 4. I recently bought a Polaroid 360 land camera in pristine condition, the only issue is the battery conversion and a bit of corrosion in the battery compartment. I know #532 batteries are available to purchase new but they are pricy. I am looking for used #532 batteries that I could use to modify the compartment to use CR132 batteries since they seem to be a cheaper though it still has its cons. I am following the modification tutorial Since it seems like the easiest way since I have no experience in soldering and what not. If anyone knows any more efficient modifications for the batteries or know where I can obtain used #532 batteries to use the connectors I would be much appreciative. The camera actually came loaded with film and two boxes of expired color pack film from ’74, and an external flash and charger. I own another functioning land camera and am absolutely in love with pack film, though the price is a bit of a turn off.
