Issues with the elan 7e locking up in Canon EOS Mount Posted November 6, 2002 The company I work for supplies us with the canon elan 7e. At first they were using 3rd party lenses, but have now seen the light and gone to canon lenses. The elans are equipped with the bp-300 and our studio flashes are connected via hot shoe. At first everything whent smoothly, but eventually all the cameras started locking up. You hit the shutter, mirror locks up, shutter fires, then it freezes with the low battery warning flashing. If you hit the shutter button again it will close, but the damage has already been done.I'm trying to figure out what the problem is before my boss makes us work with a rebel or something. Can anyone help???
