Unless you have a strong Mac bias, PC provides considerably more bang for the buck. Some things are a tiny bit harder to set up on the PC (e.g. color management), but it's perfectly possible to do this and you don't need to be a full-blown geek for this.

<p>This is one of a series of images taken at a recent demonstration/carnival/procession/etc. in East Village, NYC, NY. Canon Elan 7E, 100-400mm IS, Provia 100F, natural light.

 

<p>Note that the lens used was a huge help. I was able to fill the frame with head-and-shoulders from far enough away so that I did not have to get into people's faces (yeah, yeah, I know, it isn't really street photography unless you do :-)) with my camera. At the same time it being image-stabilized allowed me to easily hand-hold a 400mm lens.

<p>I am somewhat confused how to include in my posts here images that are on photo.net. I know enought HTML, that is not the problem. The problem is which link from photo.net do I use?

 

<p>For example, here is a link to one of my images from photo.net:

<p>However, that link seems to pull in not just the image, but the whole photo.net page, including copyrights, asking for comments, etc. etc. How can I access just the photo itself so that I could include it in posts here?
