Too much hairlight or just about right? What else could be done to

make this better?

How could this photo be better? I can think of a few things:

1. The light on the nose seems too strong

2. Too much empty space on top

3. The rule of thirds?

4. Too much cropping on the arms and fingers.

Anything else?

This photo was taken in the Merritt Island refuge. The original

photo had absolutely gorgeous lighting in the hair. The rest of the

photo didn't turn out so well. This was more of an attempt to

experiment with the photo and has been retouched using MS Picture IT

(one of these days, I should really invest in Photoshop). What else

could be done with this photo?

First portrait shoot (amateur). Shot a roll of NPS 160 between 9:30

am and 10:30 am. The light had become too strong so we tried a few

shots under a walkway. What could be improved in this photo?
