  1. Hi everyone, I'm considering which type of camera to purchase used, for location architectual work.

Would a 6x9 technical camera (Linhof, Horseman) have enough movements for general interior &

exterior work? If so, which camera on the used market would fit the bill. How wide of a lens can I use on

these cameras? I presently have a 4x5 monorail that I use for product work in the studio, but I would

like something dedicated for location work.

  2. Hello All,

I recently acquired a Walz Envoy 35 Rangefinder at a camera swap. It seems to be in good working

order. I'm in the process of shooting a roll of Tri-X with it. Serial # is 90159. Lens is a Nitto Kogaku - S

Kominar 1:1.9 F=4.8cm, seven element. This camera feels very solid & well made. I've shot with Konica

sII, Konica auto SII & Kiev rangefinders. My other cameras are Nikon mf & Rollei Twin lens. My questions

are: Does any know the history or background of this model, year of manufacture? What should I expect

    from this lens.

  3. I recently bought a Rollie Automat 2 - serial # 739128, with a Zeiss

tessar 3.5 uncoated taking lens in good mechanical condition. Will

filters or hood improve contrast & if so which ones should I get. I

also have been using a rolleicord V with coated 3.5 Xenar, are the

    two lenses on par. Thanks.

  4. Hello All,

I have an early Kiev 4a (1959) with jupiter 8. I like the 85mm focal

lenth to shoot lowlight performance in jazz clubs & theater. Will

the Jupiter-9 be sharp at f2 or should I pay more for one of the

Zeiss 85's or even a Nikkor 85. Or is a Sonnar a Sonnar?

    Thanks,

  5. Hello All,

I recently acquired two Konica rangefinders in good condition. An

Auto S2 & a "S"(not auto). I've been able to find lots of info on the

S2, but not the S. It has a Hexanon 48mm f1.8 lens. Does

anyone know this camera. Any info will help.

    Thanks David H.
