  14. Yes I am still trying to find a development sweet spot for this Washi S film and will certainly check out your suggestion. Now I just need to find an opportunity to use the film!
  15. I recently tried out a rather unorthodox film, Film Washi S. This film (ISO 50) was originally a sound recording film that is very high contrast and very fine grain. The film cannot handle contrasty situations well at all with absolutely no mid tones and is best used in a diffused lighting situation.I developed them in Rodinal 1:100 and the results were a real mixed bag with the bad ones overwhelming the good ones. Here is a selection of the acceptable images. Man in Black .... Contax G2 28mm f/2.8 Biogon Hope & Lives .... Contax G2 28mm f/2.8 Biogon Net Fishing .... Nikon FM2n 55mm f/2.8 Micro Nikkor Lion .... 16. Ha! Love the snow scenes Mike....you get them a few times a year but I have never seen any snow over here at all. The nearest we had to getting snow was some flurries during a recent freaky cold spell at the very top of our highest mountain (that's 13thousand and a half feet high) and it was just a burst.
  17. Visited a travelling fair couple of months back. Place was closed off and all shots taken from outside the perimeter fence. Here's a half bakers dozen from that walk around. 20. Your camera collection never cease to amaze me Rick! All the cameras that I have seen you posted on this thread appear to look like they were hot off the press! Absolutely mint looking and they are all a joy to look upon, helping to bring back lots of fond memories. The SeaGull brand of cameras were very popular this part of the world during the 70s and this was especially so with their TLRs. I remember this very well because my cousin had a Seagull TLR and with the large 6x6 negative size, photos returned from the shop were just direct contacts which helped to keep costs low for avid shooters. Ah, those were the days! Looking forward to see the results of your escapade with this Chinese classic.
  21. A half dozen shots from an Olympus OM-1n with 50mm f/1.4 Zuiko. Film was Fomapan 200 developed in XTol 1:2 and scanned using an Epson V700. Before and After. (soft due to unsteady hands!) Car Surgeon. Corridor. Mannequins Twin Selfies Colonial Hydrant.

  23. Yes Rick the Zuiko lenses do perform as well as what they are reputed to do. In fact I find that most lenses of the old film generation perform pretty well as you yourself have clearly demonstrated in your excellent mini reviews and photo shoot. Alas, the problem I find these days is the dreaded camera shake and inaccurate manual focus. I guess that's the trade off that us old timers have to accept when we qualify for Senior Citizens freebies and concessions! BTW my friends call me KK.
  24. Continuing on images of Ipoh, here are 8 from a more recent sojourn to the city. Camera was an Olympus OM2 with 35mm f/2 Zuiko and 100mm f/2.8 Zuiko loaded with FomaPan 200 developed with XTol 1:2.
