From one Canuck to another, I'd say the best solution to the glare problem is to have put a bottle of "Canadian" in the water. ;)

(Who know's? They might have used it!)

I would've liked to get a wider, fuller shot of the building, however

I was limited by space and equipment. This was taken from diagonally

across the intersection. How's the lighting? Colour? My girlfriend

loves it, I like it, just seems to be something missing maybe. Any

thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated.

My thoughts too. Maybe cropping the shot to remove the girl and the sign might help a bit. I might go back one night and try again. Just wasn't possible at the time.

Was just sitting on the corner, saw the homeless man on the left,

then saw his stuff leaning against the pole on the right, thought it

was an interesting shot. What do you think?

The two dots aren't spots on the scanner - they're birds!

Why does this photo look sooooooo much better in reality than in this scan? The actual slide has much more detail in the dark areas (which we're cropped anyway)

My first submission. Am new to photography (couple months). This is

one of my better shots so far (IMO). The photo was taken mid-

afternoon, hand-held. If memory serves me correctly, the settings

were 1/125, f8. All comments, good, bad, or ugly will be appreciated.
