  1. After using Rollei A110 for few weeks. I feel this camera still too heavy in the pocket. so I dig out my Minox EC from storage, and use it instead of Rollei A110
  2. You should post to Minolta forum Sony/Minolta
  3. Rollei A110 lens Tessar F23mm F1.28, focused by a slider, close focus to 2meter. focus dial visible in the viewfinder
  4. I use Rollei A110 camera, with ASA 100 A110 color cartridge from Frugalphotographer.com I also have two Pentax 110 slr cameras
  5. The film in Rolllei A110 is propelled forward by four springs at the back door of A110. I find that the film does not advance smoothy. I use a small screw driver to pry out the four springs a little. After doing this the film advances more smoothly.
  6. How to set film speed on Contax T Locate the ASA window on Contax T (it is on the left hand side of the camera) Press down the little button at the right side of ASA window Then turn the ASA setting dial on top of the ASA window, until the correct ASA number shows up in the ASA window
  7. conrad_hoffman, wrote 16X, ha! Not happening. Actually 300x already achieved 300x, 16x is a piece of cake You can look up old issue of American photograpy: Philip Priedell in in 1946 November issue of American Photography. Friedell used a two bath developer containing Benzotriazole. He use Dupont sound track film with very low film speed--Weston 8 to take picture with this low speed film and developed in his two bath developer, he got result equivalent to Weston 300 to Weston 460 a amazing speed boost of 300x to 450 x
  8. I need a speed boost of 4-16 times, not 300 x. Because Pentax Auto 110 has only ASA 100 and ASA 400 speed. I shall try to reduce the amount of benzoletriazole.
  9. In a 1952 book "Introduction to Photography" by Tai Huai Ching, published in Sin Chew Weekly magazone in Singapore. listed a speed boost developer described by Philip Priedell in in 1946 November issue of American Photography. Friedell used a two bath developer containing Benzotriazole. He use Dupont sound track film with very low film speed--Weston 8 to take picture with this low speed film and developed in his two bath developer, he got result equivalent to Weston 300 to Weston 460 a amazing speed boost of 300x to 450 x I need to do my own experiment with 16mm Agfa Copex (ASA 16-25) in Pentax Auto 110 camera or EDIXA M16 cameras to see what speed boost I can get. Unlike Swerl, the chemical benzoletriazole is available.
  10. Zeiss Ikon Contaflex shutter problems: 1. Shutter clicks, but the shtter never let thru any light 2. Shutter clicks, but it open then closs, but after a few seconds, it open and close the second time 3. Shutter open and closed but not fully leaving an opening 4. Timing no precise
  11. Expired but still usable 110 film is available at Film and supplies for vintage cameras: Frugal Photographer
  12. https://www.lomography.com/magazine/23226-rollei-a110-one-of-the-best-subminiature-cameras
  13. With Rollei A110 camera, loaded with 110 film cassette, never push pass 24. If you force push pass 24, you will jam up Rolllei A110, and you will never be able to pry open it, and ruin the camera
  14. 110 film width is the same as 16mm film. Use 16mm film stainless steel development reel to develop 110 b&W film
  15. the A110 retailed for around $300. That’s almost $1,300 in 2013 dollars.
  16. I bought two Baby Rolleiflex cameras, all have problem, one is now at repair shop.
  17. Jimmy Li stainless steel roller film slitter Film Slitter King-Jimmy Li film slitter for 15.2mm and 9.25mm film That was more than ten years ago The film strip cut from 35film with Jimmy Li roller slitter is very straihgt, never chipped, and never scratched. It works better tha Minox/Acmel film slitter
  18. The leather case also has Germany stamp on it
  19. Rollei A110 E110 do not have Minox stype "freewheeling". if you pull out A110 but do not take picture than push back the camera, you end up with a blank frame.
  20. I have two Pentax auto 110, one with 23mm F2.8 lens, one with 18mm F2.8 wide angle lens
  21. My Rollei A110 is black anodized aluminium, it has "Made in Germany" at the back door It needs a px27 6v battery The lens is focused by a slider, with pictorial signs to indicate close by objects or distant objects. IMO, Rollei A110 is most beautiful 110 camera My Minox 110 camera is too big Pentax A110 is cute, but not as small as Rollei A110 10 years ago, I had a Rollei E110 in silver color, it is a simplified version of Rollei A110. The Rollei A110 sets both the aperture and shutter speed automatically, while the E110 needs manual set aperture, and E110 sets only the shutter speed. Certainly Rollei A110 is simpler to use
