I love this shot! I'm from PA, but have never been to Hocking Hills SP.
-
Thanks Christa, and thanks for all the points scored, enough to give me first place for the day!

No, Christa, this is not Hatteras, but it IS the Outer Banks. It's Portsmouth Island, SW of Ocracoke Island.

pantha8, thank you for your close observations. I worked in various parts of this mill for 45 years. Here, they're piling hot-rolled blooms to be control-cooled under an insulated hood.

I've been to OBX several times, and this is one of its finest features, and the sky looks like the ocean!....beautiful capture, Bill

This rustic structure is on the Schoodic Peninsula, a part of Acadia NP. This view is from Schoodic Loop Rd (one-way) past Schoodic Point.

Perfect color capture! I've been to Smoky Mtn NP, but only when it was green.

Very nice indeed! I've been to Ocracoke and the lighthouse, beautiful place. Thanks for sharing, Bill

Yep Nick, a long time ago! This pic was scanned from an old square "instamatic" negative. Thanks for your comment, Bill

Thanks Ed, for your comment. Yellowstone NP has an area with captive wolves and bears to view. This was shot through a window, and was able to get an angle with no "fences" in the background.

Thank you Ed, for your comments and compliments. These shots were taken over 20 year ago on film. I could never do it today, too old and beat up for those falls trails.

I have some like this coming, but still need more time. Hope they do as well as yours!

Hi GV! I mentioned recently that the squirrels ate my crocuses. I am now sure this is true, I planted over a hundred bulbs 2 or 3 years ago, this year 7 came up!

Sanibel Island was destroyed by Hurricane Ian in September, 22.

I see you took this shot on March 4th, it amazes me you're so far ahead of me in Pennsylvania. My daffs on 3/12 are tight buds at best on just leaves. I know....patience ! LOL

This was shot on film over twenty years ago, and the filter I used was the Cokin blue-yellow polarizer #173.

Thanks again, H! I recently got my scanner that I haven't used for years working again. I've been busy looking through old negatives and scanning.
-
Thank you H for your compliment!...Bill

The star barn is in bad shape in this photo, but since then, it has been torn down and moved to a new location, and put back together piece by piece, and completely restored.

Yes, I thought of deleting and redoing it, but then you also lose all the hits that people viewed. They should extend the amount of time to edit.

TOMTE, for what it's worth this photo was shot in south-central Pennsylvania.
