I was into some of this sport for awhile(natural of course) and

from buying countless magazines and seeing pics of the 'stars' I can

only suggest that you use some form of Rembrant lighting for the

key light to show the textures and seperation of the muscle groups.

A flat appearance is not what they are after. It's sad but the more

texture or details from cross lighting you have , the better they like it--gross or not. Just a suggestion. I use White Lightnings myself;

I love them.

I've used a Vivitar 2x on my 80mm 2.8 and as long as you open

up 2 stops for any situation other than TTL metered, you are ok.
