Hi. This is probably the right place. I'm just not the right guy, but I seem to have gotten here first. I'm sure someone will be along who can tell you more about it. But, why did you buy it, if you're not into photography? Just looking to flip it for a profit?

 

I can say that this is a very cool piece, and it's not just a lens; it's a lens and shutter and timer, all in one. It would have been made for a fairly large camera, like a 4x5 or 5x7, I think. It's hard to tell how big it is or if it's mounted on the black fabric(?) covered board, or not. It could even have been used for an 8x10. 21cm is quite long for the smaller sizes. And it's designed for slow film and long exposures, because the times on the dial run from 0.5 to at least 10 seconds, and probably longer. I can't tell if there's a faster speed than 0.5, from the photos.

Yeah, I just bought it to resell. I was at a garage sale and it was only $5 which I figured was cheap for a lens which looked old.

Hi i'm not familiar with photography in any way and am unsure if this is the correct forum to post in, but if someone could help me ID this camera lens I just bought that would be great. Here are some photos of the lens. it would be great if someone could tell me what camera it would have gone to and an approximate value.
