Hasselblad heartbreak (pics on the second page on that thread)
It is part of the light baffle between the mirror and the body, which helps seal off the screen when the mirror is up. They all break off after many year on the 200 series bodies. The replacement piece was $$, if still available, but many people just removed it. Without the baffle, if you have sun shining directly down on the waist level finder screen, you may get some fog/light leak at the bottom of your frame.
Tom, thanks for the quick answer. I’ll look into a possible repair but good to know I can do without it. Pity I shot a few rolls with the thing in the way only to discover the issue when I saw the developed negs. Some really good shots lost...

I found this thread after noticing a similar problem with my 201f and having checked the inside where I found a piece of "tape". It is black and seems to have been hanging from the top just in front of the shutter curtain but has been somehow ripped and fallen down. So far its lack doesn't seem to affect the images. Can someone tell me what exactly it is and how it might affect camera operation? Hope it is OK if I start a new thread in case nobody answers here (not sure how forums work, sorry).
