1.
Thank you all for contribution. I think that the Contax and DB seems like a very good idea. In fact I´m meeting a dealer for a Demo tomorrow. I´ll be looking at the eMotion 54LV and also recieve some DNGs to play around with.
WolfRainer: What lens is the 2000mm? Very intresting I must say. Still in production? Cost?
All the best
Henrik

  2.
Thank you very much, just the awnser I was looking for. I was conserned about that fact that the software only supports MacOS since on Windows, but you mean that I don´t have to get a new computer as well? I will investigate the different softwares, but can you recommend any post-processing program?

  3.
I have a Contax645 system that I don´t want to sell and I am looking into the posibilies of upgrading to a digital back. I will use it for portraits and Landscape/Macro. I have been looking at PhaseOnes P22 Refit and I have recently been looking at a Sinar eMotion54. I have seen pictures of the same subject taken with the two backs and the PhaseOne seemed to have richer colours and a more subtle contrast and the eMotion54 seemed less satureated in its colours and a sharper contrast. Does any one have experience of the combo Contax-Sinar and Contax-PhaseOne? Do you have any recomendations for me on which back I should get? Thank you! Best regards Henrik

  4. Follow Contax users,

I have been using my Contax now for a couple of years now, and

I am loving every moment of it.

My most recent purcase was the Arsat 30/3,5. A fun lens and

surprisingly sharp, for the money, that is.

The market for secondhand lenses is some what limited here in Sweden,

but like SAABs we have piles of Hasseys. So I have been looking into

the option of buying hassy lenses and using the MAM-1 adapter or the

novoflex CONTHA 645 adapter. Does any one have experience from any

    one of the adapters? Henrik

  5. Fellows,

I want to close the gap I currently have between my SuperAngulon58XL

and ApoSymmar120mm with something like a 75 mm lens. I have all

schnieder lenses, and I am wondering aboutgetting the SuperAngulon75

or the SuperAngulon72XL. I have a ToyoField so my rise fall is

somewhat limited. Which way do I go? A different brand perhaps?

    Thankfull for replies

    Henrik

  6. I have just orderd my first 4x5" and I am going to shoot art pictures

using 55P/N with it. Also Velvia for nature. However, I have not

bought a Polaroid back yet, waiting to hear from you guys. What are

the differences between the 545i and the 545Pro back? Which one

    should I get?

    Thank you

    Henrik

  7. Simon, are you using the ToyoField 45AIIL , the one that has a special frontstand for linhof-boards, or are you using the 45AII with

the large lensboards? The reasone I ask is that I tried an adaptor for linhof lenses on the 45AII and lost 9-10 mm which is alot when you are trying to squeeze a 58 on. Do you still need a recessed board?

  8. I don?t know how he is handeling his cameras, I know he travels the world, and if you use them all the time, proffesionally, maybe the camera gets a beating. And I?d say that he regards the TK45s the best, since he keep?s buying them. My impression of the camera is also that it?s built too last, but I hesetated when he told me about

    his missfortunes with his cameras.

  9. Hello,

Does the ToyoField 45AIIL take a Schneider 58mmXL?

If yes, can I do anything with it in terms of raise/fall, shift/tilt

    etc?

What would be the widest I could go with a ToyoField 45AIIL?

    Thank?s

    Henrik

  10. Hello!

I am about to buy my first 4x5" and am looking at a used

    Technikardan45s and a new ToyoField45AIIL.

I am friends with a professional photographer who help me from time

to time when I run into problem with my tecnique, and he said that

he is on his 4th Technikardan because it is fragile and only one

knock will make it bent. I don?t consider him to be a voilent man,

so the sturdiness of the camera seems to be the problem. Does any

    one have this experience too?

The question would be, shall I take the chance with the Technikardan

or go for the Toyo Field that is more sturdy?

  11. Thank you for the input. They have an 5,6/500 Mirror lens also at

Kievcamera, have you tried it? I mail the man at Kievcamera, a mr Mikhail Fourman, and he recomended the 8/500 before the 5,6/500, do you have an opinion about that? The wheight is off course an issue, but one might think that with a one stop faster aperture this lens would be a favourite. Any thoughts? Henrik
