NK, it is no secret that everyone loves you. If the Canon EOS FAQ Forum was a bowl of vanilla ice cream, you are the pecans, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and cherry on top. We all thank you for going above and beyond, again and again, to further the community.

30,000 photos per month. That is about 1000 per day. You can be first on the 56K line to click on the page with 1000 jpeg thumbnails, then go through 1000 jpeg thumbnails deleting the ones you dont like. This is interesting with perhaps 10 or 50 photos a day, but there is no way to do this here and now.

Ron, we are mostly adults here. You shouldn't be afraid to type out "crap" and "fucking."
-
Get around ten thousand, fill a bathtub with the little things, and soak in it after a tough day of photographing. Your worries will melt away.
-
First off, could you take apart your EOS 3 and show us how to build our own for about $100?
-
Don't you already have a couple Ls? You wouldn't want to step down to non-L primes...
-
I find that my 28-105 performs best when I stop down to f/8, put on the Beatles' version of "Twist and Shout" as loud as it will go, and wiggle away, baby!
-
Absolutely no contest. You have 28-35 already with the 28-105 zoom, so get the prime 20. Consider a canon prime 24 at less cost and perhaps more general usability, unless you really want that super wide angle.
-
You're only missing focal lengths between 35mm and 70mm? Get a Canon 50! Sounds like you have the budget available for the f/1.4. You'll have it all covered.

Perhaps (Brian?) we could make the first choice of category for EOS
forum something other than announcements, EOS bodies perhaps. Nearly
every new post is getting thrown into announcements, presumably
because people aren't bothering or are forgetting to switch it. I
think categorization is a good idea, and this would help just in case
people forget. Which seems to be happening a lot.

OK, I know nothing AT ALL about electronics: all you need is a regular
headphone cord and a little adapter that makes the head phone cord
plug into your camera.(both at electronics/hobby stores) Cut the end
off the cord however far away you want your remote to be, and strip
the insulation off and there will be three tiny bundles of wires. At
this point, you could follow the crafty instructions on how to build a
whole little remote control box...or you could just touch the wires
together. If i remember, connecting all three wires releases the
shutter, toucing a certain two of them does auto focus, and another
pairing of two does nothing. Experiment with no film in the camera,
then mark them. And you will look so hardcore using raw wires.

"out there" i mean. ugh.

hehe, I asked that one a while back. I say E-O-S. Apparently some
weirdos out their pronounce it like a word "eos."

In photo.net's canon reviews section, phil greenspun has a comparison
of the 2.8, 4, and 2.8IS with the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Has anyone put the 70-200 f/4L on the very lightweight bodies? Specifically, I have a EOS 300. Obviously it will be very front-heavy but I am considering buying the lens. Does anyone find the off-balance weight to detract too much from handling? The answer to the glaring question is I don't want to spend the money for an EOS 3 or 1 series right now and the features of the 30 don't make it worth the step up.

ah sorry. i thought it was another delta advertisement for products
that dont exist.
-
Sorry for another one of these, but they are so tempting. Delta International is now listing the 480 EG flash. It isn't real, is it?
-
Why, Canon already makes this lens! I swear, Delta International told
me! Should be available to order any day now. I think it even has IS...
-
get the 14, 50/1.0 and 85/1.2. while you're at it get the 400 DO and
the 1200/5.6 then you can have the most expensive and specialized
lenses in ALL categories!
-
press the function button until the little arrow points at the multiple
exposure icon, i think it is the third one. (it looks like one picture
superimposed on another in the little icon) use the dial to move from 1
(single exposure) to 2, 3, or however many you want. then fire away.
-
to address one of your questions:

with the "SAME LENS, SAME EXPOSURE SETTINGS (aperture and shutter speed
values) and SAME SCENE in SAME LIGHTING CONDITIONS and SAME FILM"
these cameras will yield exactly the same image. The difference in
bodies is features and noise and speed and convenience.
-
Easy. Do not subject that part of the tripod mount to contact with hard
or sharp objects, or objects with points, edges, ridges, or other such
surface features which might cause those scratches.
-
Do you definitely need to be out at 2 or 3 hundred millimeters? If
not, sell the 28-80 get the Canon 28-105!
-
Stella Esperanza Greenleaf, you have the coolest name of all time.
What lens to go along with a 24-85mm?
