1. In Catalina if you go to "systems report" in "about this mac " then to "legacy" it will show the 32 bit programs that will not work. I have Epson scanner with all 32 bit programs.
 2. when you get longer distance to the bird, over 400mm the heat waves become an issue on a summer shoot. If you are shooting for documentation then what ever you can carry.
 3.
Can someone direct me to a good source or tutorial for preping of images for printing, uploading, projection.
i use DDP4 to convert RAW to Jpeg. Someone asked to use some of my images as part of her lecture, they would be projected to a screen. But most sites like this one also have requirements for uploading. Just need to get the basic understanding. thanks

 4.
Thank's, your answers were what I assumed, I use one focal point for 95% of my shots, But on those times when I turn on all focal points I have several shots from T3i and 6d that show activated points clearly not in the same focal plane even with DOF consideration. Those out of plane points were low contrast so maybe camera confused.

 5.
Question on the AF points and what's in focus. If I use center AF point on object at 100 meters every thing in that plane (100 Meters) should be in focus. If I use all focal points and three or four are active on objects at different distance from the lens and thus a different plane what's in focus? Or will only points activate in the same plane? ignore DOF for this discussion, just trying to understand the AF points. Lens can only focus at one plane. does the sensor or processor play a role in focus.?
