Hello everybody,

It is my understanding that some adjustments are better done in RAW vs. JPEG for quality reasons. Having said that, my question is as follow:

Should I back up the Raw File as it comes out of the camera and call that the Original RAW File, leaving it untouched forever and ever? If that is the case, should I then create a copy of the RAW File and then apply the adjustments to such image, calling it the Working RAW File?

I hope there is someone out there who can help me with this very basic question (but very confusing to me) in regards to this matter. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Metadata and Rotation in Bridge CS5 for JPEGS.. Loseless?
in The Digital Darkroom: Process, Technique & Printing

Hi all,
I just wanted to get your advice on rotaing images 90 degrees and adding metadata (copyright info) to JPEGS in Bridge CS5. Is this a loseless process or is it as bad as re-saving a JPEG image?
Thanks in advance!
