The light from her upper left really makes this stand out. The makeup is perfect and her expression and poise feel natural. Very good work.

Thanks to everyone. It's a great honor to win a contest in a community I've been part of for many many years.

I like this. Others might disagree but the trees at the bottom are a little distracting. There's a nice, limited warm pallette in the rest of the photo and the leaves and branches sort of break that up. Nice diagonal lines, though.

This is a lovely photograph with wonderful tonality and a sense of scale. I'd consider scrapping that title, though.

This has a nice palette and sense of movement. I always say that placing people off center only works if there's something in the empty space to balance it out. What you have here is a lot of empty white space on the right. Contrary to what people say, it's ok to center your subject. More subjectively, and I know you can't just go an "do over," I'd like to see her arms extended more directly to the sides rather than angled into the background. They look a little out of proportion to me because of the foreshortening. Keep at it. Every photograph ever taken can be improved.
