I'd love some thoughts on this photo, taken while walking around near

Elizabeth St. in Manhattan. Taken with a Contax G2, 45mm lens, Alford

FP4 film.

This was a very quick portrait shot on the street in San Francisco, under

shade from a tree.

I'd appreciate thoughts on composition, lighting, color grading—anything.

I like the stark composition. The sense of scale is also nice. 

Perhaps it is my display, but there appears to be some halo-ing around the tree indicating that the exposure has been modified with a brush tool. If so, I would suggest being more careful when using these kinds of techniques to selectively modify an image.

After dragging my feel for months, I finally got around to actually putting a

studio shoot together with some friends. This was one of the images I had

envisioned wanting to create going into the shoot.

I am and am not satisfied with the results, so I look forward to external

thoughts on ways to critique it.
