I had an idea to create retro-style photo without much manipulations,
so the fog was really nice to accomplish this. Does it work, do you
like it?
-
Well-balanced composition and nice colors!

Please comment on composition and tonality and whether you like such
toning or not.

Did he manage to read size of the shoe? :-) But seriously, nice captured moment. If they were isolated by background blur, would make even more impressive photo.

That's damn sharp! I really envy your skills to capture these fast moving beasts!
As for improvements I can only speculate as I'm not experienced in this area, but you might have done better if the front car would be more prominent (blurring second car with larger apperture or more panning) and if you'd give them just small bit of more room.

Nice touch with the hands motion!

My idea with this shot was to have dark wood in the background, light
grass, full tonality dead tree trunk and dark bench. So far everything
went quite well except for the bench. I just couldn't get it to stand
out. I tried green, orange and polirizer filters, this shot is the
best I managed to get.
How could I get the bench to stay out? Please help.

Miguel, this abstract is really nice! I'm usualy reluctant to abstract art, but this one stands out - with such composition (and good that you turned it upside down as you say) it ressembles a hand holding torsh with fire lit on. Nice photo!
-
Brian, I just tried to crop away the hill and rightmost pinguin - makes photo much stronger.
Lionel, I bet it was damn cold out there, so the bluish cast actually fits here.

I miss my home sometimes when thinking of such scenes - snow and woods. Very nice photo!

Excellent photo! Brings nice and relaxing mood. The only thing seems out of place here is the sky. I know it was there, but its colors a bit screamng, while the rest is more comforting.

Could pass as a Christmas card! Very nice!
Just missing Coca-Cola (kidding :-)

This is croped version with better contrast balance of the

. Does it look better? I printed such crop also on9x12 paper, looks nice but not so impressive. Is it just subject being
not-photogenic and I should give up trying to get this one better?

That's very nice framing! The scene afar looks like a picture inside this building. Nice!
-
Lovely! Hands' motion adds to the mood as does wide angle. Was it 35mm or around?

If you could move just slightly to the left, while keeping overall composition the same, you probably would end up with better shot - the...err...bottom...of these two wouldn't appear as main subject. Nice idea though!
-
Very nice use of negative space to pop-up main sibject! It really keeps the eyes on what is important in the photo.
By the way, since when Chateau de Versailles has been moved to Germany? ;-)

Sorry for possible misunderstanding. I just considered your request for critique only from "the best look" prospective and didn't think of client requirements.

I noticed unusual sharpness compare to majority photos posted and went to look closer. LF is nice, but color here doesn't add much. The scene calls for b&w. I just tried to convert it to b&w via 'Channel Mixer' on green channel in photoshop - looks much better.

Stunning, really! When saw this photo on the front page I thought it's painting from the bible. I go through photo.net gallery every now and again, there are not so many images that attract so much that I'd like to have them on the wall. This is one of such. Congratulations!
If you don't mind a little of critique, then I'd leave just very slightly more space in the right bottom corner. And delicate touch of soft highlights (not to increase contrast but just to bring the mood up) would make it ideal, pity one can't adjust weather.
Wonderful image!

I'm thinking of going there and photograph it on 4x5" transparency (it
will be my first attempt to use LF after becoming familiar with my new
old Sinar Norma at home), but I'm not sure what can be improved
besides that blue sky would be an advantage. Please tell me what do
you think could improve this image (esp. framing).
