I was using Epson perfection 1200S with transparency adapter from two years. It has focusing system and you might do focusing calibration before start to use it. It was very sharp and nice scans with all negatives and pictures. I bought and Epson 2400 with expectation of better results. I was waiting more from 2400*4800 dpi. But now it is total disappointment! There is very soft scans on negatives and pictures. I try to solve this problem with: 1: Try to use different twains 2: Put glas over negatives when scaning. 3: Use unsharp mask intensively.
But nothing help. It is expensive and ordinary quality product. But looks good on near the computer!
Now I am looking for a fool to sell this product.
Do not spend more time and efford for sharper results. Nothing will change.
If you will find a solution, I am waiting for it too.
