I just bought a Canon 300D kit. It works fine with the supplied lens, and with the my Canon lenses. It will NOT work with my Sigma 75-300. I get an Error 99 every time. After some quick searching on the net, it appears that this is a very common problem with a lot of newer Canon digital bodies and older Sigma lenses. I have heard that Sigma will "re-chip" the lens for a small fee. I have contacted Sigma with the problem and asked for info as to cost, timeframe, etc. I'll post any info I get from them.
