    Summer is coming

Hello William, I just love the human side of photography. Nice image but I have to tell you, what I am looking at is the structure off to the right with the purple door, the ladder sitting up against it and accompanied by a nice shadowing
  2. I like your architecture work, this one is especially impressive, framing this as you did to peak a humans interest.
  3. Some of the American Civil War photos I posted were “too clean” So I roughed this up a bit, added film grain and a few scratches.
  4. I like the way artificial light illuminates the landscape, a different perspective then what we would see during the day.
  5. What a great presentation Andy, impressive work, using the natural vegetation as a frame doe our little friend. Silhouetted, you have created an impact piece, stunning work, highly unique.

I like your presentation of this iconic landmark. Truly for me an angle I have not seen before. The contrasting colors do provide an impact and presented artistically, bravo!

There is art in death, I like how you lead our eyes left to right, attracting us to a dead focal point, impact, marvelous.

    Cattleya #27

I like how you created a private session between me and your subject. Darkened to allow no outside distractions you created intimacy.

Chuck! What a dramatic feel you presented us with today. Rust and photography go hand in hand, the darkness gives us a feel of uselessness, while the clouds give us a nifty backdrop for these unusable things,

You do amazing work with butterflies, perhaps in your portfolio you have every imaginable kind represented. I often though that the wings of the butterfly looks a lot like stained glass windows, stunning work, all of it.
  11. Thank you so much for the positive feed back!
  12. This is great Jim, I like the finger pointing but my best part is the guy holding the lollypop, classic!

Today at work I was bored, so I was looking up images of the old masters. I came across Irving Penn, he has some still life and this image so reminds me of his work. Very creative, it captures the eye and the mind.
  14. Thank you Stephanie, you are too kind.

    Blue & Gold Macaw

I like the tight cropping used on this piece Jeff, there is a lot of movement that keeps our eyes engaged, well done my friend.
  16. Thanks Jeff, you should work with it, you will be surprised the flavors you get with IR

I like the casual cropping of this image Maria, it is reminiscent of the old masters, the subtle colors gives me a feel that it has been aged by time, very nice work.
  18. Hello Ross, the amber colors are from the Infrared, it enhances the exposure used. I have added a black and white version so it may be a bit more palatable for you. On the version I kept the bend in the road.

I like the light play you captured here, nice work as the shadows cross the path. Very nice natural coloring.
  20. Hi John, I too am a follower of Infrared Photography; I have posted a few shots in my portfolio. I used a Hoya R72 for my first shots but like you mentioned, the exposure was way too long. I recently had my Nikon D60 converted and my exposure time is well above the blur factor
