Beautiful lighting and composition. Was this lighting natural?
-
Good colors and texture. how did you balance the marbles?

Your comments are welcome.

Does this composition work?

This structure inside a dense forest looked interesting....

Your comments are welcome. This is part of the backwaters of the
Kerala State in India. These are extensions of the sea into the land
and many of these are interlinked and ends up in huge lakes.

Portrait of Alex who is 1 year and 10 months old. This is from my
first attempts at black and white.

Taken with available window lighting. Color photograph converted to
black and white using some free s/w.

I think my metering was not right. I spot metered off the front of
the basket. I think the shadow has been exposed properly. But it
overexposed the doll's face and the inner side of the basket. Any
ideas how I could have done it right. (8 sec @ f4.5)

I would appreciate your comments about composition, exposure etc.
This is a print scanned and our labs generally do a very bad job of
printing. :(

Candid shot of my 14 month old son Alex, taken in the garden. I
should have probably added fill-in flash. I have just begun learning
photography.
-
Shot using available light streaming through the window. Please
critique on composition and other details. I got a photo CD made by
the lab who did the printing. The quality of the images in the CD was
not very good.

Thank you all for your valuable comments. I hope this will help me take better pictures.

I am a beginner in photography. So I would appreciate your comments so
that I can improve. This was taken handheld in my garden. Please
comment on focus, composition, depth of field etc. and how to improve
them in my photographs.

He is Alex and he is 5 months old. It was difficult shooting him since
he kept moving all over the place. This was a color negative printed
in sepia tone.

Shot of my window glass, with lights hung outside.

This is one of my first attempts at using an SLR and with B&W film.
Somehow the negative print film I used turned out to be bad (Kodak
Academy 200) which the lab technician confirmed. One of my friends
scanned it for me.
