  1. Very beautiful shot! The only thing I don't like is that the "mountain part" and the "river part" look very separate, the dividing line is too strong and nothing really connects them together. I wonder how great the 4x5s might look...
  2. Well, I don't like PS effects at all and IMHO they very rarely give anything to the image. It usually just looks like something fance needed to be put in the otherwise boring picture. But, your result _is_ interesting - I have to admit. But this is not the type of photography I'm intersted in.

This photo is very interesting! It is full of texture and "rythm" - I like it a lot. I would be even better if the center column is _exactly_ in the middle of the picture and if you cropped a bit from the bottom and maybe if you turned it upside down? This subject would love a medium format camera or LF camera. Sharpness is the key here.

Good close up picture: sharp, shows great detail. The background is a bit distracting. A greater magnification or aperture might have helped but the the DOF might've bee too small of course. I would have also cropped tighter: too much space on the right and below.
  3. Nice photograph overall! The sunset is beautiful and the red glow from the person is very aestetical. The barrel distortion/perspective is a bit distracting and the cropping is not perfect: I don't like the appearance of the windows at the top. Maybe some building structures are blocking them but a different position or distance might have helped - or might have not.
  4. Very simple, yet very powerful. Composition is very good, although the left window is _maybe_ too near the edge. I also would have wanted to see the right window totally horizontal, now the perspective distorts it a bit. Very beautiful shot!

A very straight forward "bad ass" portrait - the subject seems very natural in that position and clothing. The framing and the composition is very calm and functional. I don't like the pier (?) in the right upper corner and the sky is overexposed.
  5. Yes, they are cute, but I don't like seeing animals in this situation - allthough I think no harm is done to them. Aesthetically the hand gives no credit to this picture, it just makes the viewer to hope the picture taking situation was quick... One bird in a nest is better than 4 in a hand.
