  1. I found your site through a comment you made on mine, and I have to say, this is one of the best collections of pictures I've found at photo.net to date. But this is by far my favourite - This sort of picture is sooo not what this format was intented for - and that is its beauty.

     

    I love the way that it is at first very amusing and the colours work very well together; but it also suggests that the statue is simply gigantic. So big that it won't fit in a format usually associated with sweeping landscapes. Wow, I'm exhausted from all that flatering - I'm off for another root around your site.

  2. You're right about the missing landmark - it just testifys the importance of photography as a way of recording things for the future.

    I like this shot a lot. The NY skyline is one of, if not the, most photographed landmarks ever so it's good to see a completely different view point that really suggests a city positively humming with activity.

    This is (for me) by far the best shot on your site. I love the way your eyes are led from the face, down the arm to the coffee. The short depth of field hints at the environment she is in without distracting or causing clutter. This shot tells a story. Beautiful.
