Happy New Year
I have a black .72 TTL in mint condition that I bought off of a fellow forum
member that I am selling. After 6 months I have only put a few rolls through it-
-I prefer my two .85 cameras. So I have finally decided to part with this one.
$1200 (+ shipping)--Check or money order.
email: gbrandimarte@earthlink.net if interested.
Thank you, Geri Brandimarte

I thought I had posted this question the other day, but I do not see
it on the forum. Anyhow, the question is: How do I go about
changing my address for my LFI subscription--email address etc.
Thanks for the help.

Another vote for the stylus epic. I bought one for my wife prior to the birth of our daughter 8 months ago. It is small and takes good pictures. For the price you cannot go wrong--leaves more money for Leica goodies.

I first want to thank those who have contributed book suggestions. I
am reading the "Bang-Bang Club" and wouldn't have known about it
without a recommendation from the forum. I am curious about the
American Photographer Master Series books. I have "The Photographic
Essay" and notices that on the back it mentions another book in the
series on fashion. Are there any other books in that series and if
so what are they?

My brother has recently purchased a M6 and a 50 summicron. He would like
to add a 35 to his outfit, but does not want to spend the amount necessary to
get a Leica lense. I tried to search for some discussion/reviews of both these
lenses and found just a little information. My question for him is forgetting the
extra stop and the size difference, how do this lenses compare in build
quality, use (focus ring v. the tab), and quality of pictures. Any long time users
of either of the lenses would be appreciated. Thank you, Geri Brandimarte

The first SLR I had was a Nikon N70 that I received as a gift(on my Christmas list) a few years ago. Seem neat at the time--all sorts of different modes etc. After using it for about 6 months I got a good deal on a used F100 and traded the N70 in. A few months later I read an article about the Bessa R and thought it might be a neat second camera, especially for travel. As I learned more about rangefinders I made the decision to just look at a Leica, never thinking I could afford one. The body was a joy to hold that didn't compare with the Bessa. Loved the lenses as well. I found a used M6TTL and a 50 summicron. Added a 90, 35 and an extra body--after trading in my F100 and have not looked back. A quick summary of my likes:
The fast, high quality lenses-I shoot wide open frequently.
The ability to see the whole scene as I take the picture.
Size-my whole kit fits in a Domke 803 bag that is easy to lug around.
Total control of exposer-my photography has improved more w/camera.
Feel of using the body and lenses.
These are just some of the main reasons why I use the M6. Leica M's are not for everyone and will not allow you to do every type of photography, but what they do, they do well. I learned that I don't need all the program modes etc. to take pictures and while I would consider getting an SLR again--macro and telephoto work, at this point it is not a big urge and it would be in addition and not a replacement for my Leica's.

Jerry,
Although I only use M6's, my wife bought me that ornament last christmas.

In October I sold my 35 summicron ASPH to raise a some extra cash to
finance a computer purchase. Although I love my new Mac, I regretted the
decision. Last week I was able to buy my lens back--nobody purchased it.
Although the $300 above what I sold it for was painful, I learned a valuable
lesson. Fantastic lens, I am glad to have it back.

Sid,
I love my M6 and I hope you will too. I may be able to help you free up some
cash to help with your purchase. I am looking to buy a used 501CM Kit. How
much do you want for yours. I live in Birmingham, MI so their would be no
need to worry about sending payment or the kit. Email me at:

I am trying to decide between a 500/501cm or 503cx/503cw--depending
whether I want TTL flash--I am curious for any insight related to the
of having GMS or not when taking pictures. Would it be foolish not
to spend the extra money and by a body with it? Geri Brandimarte

I am in the process of deciding on a MF camera. One of the things I would like
to do is some macrophotography. Having no experience with this type of
photography I am curious how important TTL flash will be in this effort. Also,
will leaf shutter lenses be more beneficial for this type of photography (for the
added flash sync speed).

I am considering getting a Mamiya Pro TL and have heard some talk
about a film flatness problem with Mamiya cameras. How much of a
problems is this, if any? Also, is their any other issues I should
consider before getting into this system? Thank you, Geri Brandimarte

I am looking into getting a scanner and wonder if the only way to go is a film
only scanner. Does anyone get good results using a flatbet with the adapter.
Canon has some new flatbed ones coming out 5000F/8000F. My choice is to
wait for those to come out (or find something similar) or get the 2720 film only
scanner. Thanks in advance for any advice as I am new the digital process.

Marc, what softbox diffuser do you have on the SF20?

Sorry, thanks for the redirection.

I posted(or thought I posted) a similar message previously, so I
apologize if this is a repetitive post. I received 2 enlargers--an
Omega C-600 and an Omega C-700. Anyone have any experience with
either of these enlargers? Is their any difference between the two?

I just purchased a 28 elmarit and need to also purchase a external viewfinder. Is the Leica one worth the extra money v. the one made by cosina? What is the difference between the two? Any user comments would be appreciated. Thank you in advance, Geri
-
Thanks to everyone for their responses. I saw a used Elmarit for
sale and was leaning toward getting it but wanted to get some opinion
on that compared with the Voightlander 28 before I made the
purchase. I just bought the Elmarit and I am sure I will be
satisfied with it. Geri
-
I am looking to get a 28 and although I know the 28 summicron has received excellent reviews, I am curious if you had to make a choice between the 28 elmarit and the voightlander 28 which one would you choose(or did choose)? Geri
-
I second that sentiment.

I recently found a copy of the "The Photographic Essay." Great book. At the time it was printed their was only one other book in the American Photographers Masters Series--a book by Patrick Demarchelier on fashion. Are their any other books in this series--recommendations? Geri
-
Alex, when I bought it I did not get a hood or a filter with it.
-
I few weeks ago someone asked if anyone had a V35 for sale. I am also looking to get one. Are their any out there for sale? Thanks, Geri

I was considering the addition of the 35 summilux Asph when I purchase a pre-asph version for peanuts from a collegue who had no need for it. Can anyone tell me what version I have(#2391202) and any comments by those who have same version or any other experience using this lense. Thank you, Geri
