Let me know your critiques of this shot, from last week in Oregon, for an
upcoming story for notesfromtheroad.com. Thanks! Erik

Let me know your thoughts on this one. This is for a new piece I am
doing at www.notesfromtheroad.com on the Glen Canyon area. Goblin
Valley is an amazing, almost unknown valley filled with interesting
shapes...you can walk for miles among these shapes.

This is an image of red mangroves saplings in the Bahamas. I took
these in 2003, but have been doing more mangroves photography since
then. Mangroves are under threat in the Bahamas from a glut of golf
and marina developments popping up everywhere, but the country has a
newfound respect for these strange environments, and some
people...are starting to fight back...to save the mangroves. Your
thoughts?

Hi folks, I'm using this one on my home page right now. Let me know
your thoughts. Best, Erik notesfromtheroad.com

This is a photo of the Salton Sea after sunset. No color
manipulation. Lots of strange things happen at the Salton Sea, and
this is an example of one of them. This scene is a trailer park
that was inundated by a tropical storm which caused it to sink into
the massive lake.

Hi folks, let me know your thoughts on this one. This was an
attractive olive grove in the sun-baked region of Portugal called
the Alentejo.

Hi, let me know your thoughts. This was during a rainstorm and for
about 20 seconds the rain let up at sunset. I was waiting there
with the 4x5 getting wet and hoping the weather would change.

The electric wires on the landscape: as depicted in this image, they look like a praying mantis, eyes and everything. Great work, sharp, and great color.
-
Let me know your thoughts. I added a bright sepia to the image,
which seems to add to the oldness of the Kuna cayucos. This was
shot with a 4x5 from the water, near a jungle cemetary in Southern
Panama.

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks! Erik

Yes, there were some versions that had great depth of field - like F48, but I liked this better, just the tips in focus and the rest suggested. Thanks for the comments.

This is a shot I did for an upcoming story on the role of bananas and
plantains in the Caribbean's recent history. Let me know your
thoughts.

Putting this man at the bottom of the photo also works in the sense that you feel he is weighed down. Ingenious!
-
Perfect, brilliant.

This is a drum scanned version of an image I posted a year ago.
Because of the foreground plant, I wasn't able to get the detail in
the original scan. Let me know what you think. Thanks!
-
Not only cool, but totally different from the standards in landscape photography. Perfect!
-
This is one of the best photos I've ever seen. Absolutely perfect.

What do you think? Underexposed at last light created the bright
colors...

Let me know your thoughts on this one. Nevada is surprisingly rich
with strange places that are not very well known.

Just because something is beautiful does not immediately qualify the photo of it as beautiful. The woodwork is great, but is this photograph great? Composed without love, with dull light and focus.
-
The photo is a bit flat...try taking this when the light is more interesting...?
-
Awesome expressions, tells a story. Photo seems a bit oversaturated.
-
Very interesting shot...the composition isnt quite there but the way the sun colors the road is very magical.

I shot this image for a story for my website, Notes from the Road. Let
me know your thoughts on the image. I shot with a large format camera
and a tripod about 15 minutes after sunset.
Thanks! Erik
