1.
I see that this is an old post but still wanted to add my input. I am currently taking this course, they do give a diploma at completion but they are not accredited. However, for the price, and since most photographers are small business owners working for themselves, I feel it is worth the money. It will teach you some things and give you a nice looking "diploma" to hang on your studio wall so that your clients can see you're not just anyone with a camera but you have actually studied to be a photographer. Just because a school is not accredited, does not mean the school or the diploma you receive is fake: It is as real as any other but accreditation does affect who will accept it. Unless they are interested in becoming a photographer, not many clients will even question whether or not your Stratford diploma is accredited. It may also work for some jobs such as a local newspapers photographer or for daycare/preschool photos and such---just be sure and submit a nice portfolio with your resume. Another similar online school is NYIP but they are about $400.00 more expensive.
