<p>The problem as Dave mentioned is down scaling HD to the DVD format. I have experimented with various encoders and the best by far is http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tvmw5.html. So the trick to using it is export your video from Elements in a lossless format then bring it into TMPGenc for encoding using the DVD template. The default settings will work fine but I would set the bitrate at about 7800kbps or video and 320 for audio. You will get a separate audio and video file that you can then use in your authoring program.</p>
