I find this image portrays the speed of the water flow pretty well.
It's kind of grown on me, and makes a nice matted and framed print on
the bathroom wall. What do you think? Any comments, or suggestions
welcome. Please feel free to view all the other photos I have in my
South Carolina weekend folder.

Part of a series of photos I took over the weekend in South Carolina.
Any feedback on this photo, or any of the others in the series is
welcome.

This is part of a series of pictures I took during a road trip to the
swamp. Feel free to look around, and please leave any comments,
suggestions or honest criticisms.

The funny thing about this whole shoot was that I had to go back twice to shoot it. And got chased off both times, the owner was a real jerk, and he could see I only had a camera in my hands. So, I definitely didn't have the opportunity to shoot it the way I wanted to. I would have liked the opportunity to try it from all angles. But, I only squeezed off about 15 shots. The last time, he told me he would sic his dogs on me. Even though it was right on a public intersection in Valdosta. Oh well. I guess it was trespassing if he didn't want me there.

Interested in any critiques or comments, and suggestions to make the
shot more appealing.

I had a day trip to the Okefenokee Swamp about a month ago. This is a
swamp that kind of borders the Florida/Georgia border. 1 hr North of
Jacksonville(my home). I have a folder with numerous pictures I took
that day, you can find it here: http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?
folder_id=126660
Please leave any comments or complaints.

I cropped the original down, and boosted contrast a tad. Which image do you like better, I think the second is definitely better:

Any comments would be welcome. How could I make this image better?

Just trying to get some feedback on some of my photos and how to make
them better.

Of course we're divided into the opposing Digital Manipulation camps. But, I found the image quite striking. While technically not still a "pure photograph", I for one am not disturbed by this, and can appreciate the aesthetic beauty of this "impressionistic" work. Thanks for sharing.

I thought the pillars half submerged made an interesting subject.
What do you think?

My first submission to this board.

I agree with the previous comment, that photo while still somewhat pleasing to the eye, isn't really a good example of a still life. I look at the photo and I don't know what to look at. Remember the human eye can only really focus on one thing at a time. So, pick the item you're going to focus on, and make that the center of your image. It's your job as the photographer to convey to me, what you're trying to make me see.
As far as the technical side of it. I thought it was a little out of focus, but that could be my bad eyes.
Hope this helps.
