Wonderful, sentimental shot of a boat that has seen better days. I love the low, warm light. Very mellow for an "old" boat. Congrats!

This photo was shot in late afternoon winter light, streaming
from my kitchen window. I did a spot-exposure for the wood and
used a 28mm lens. I braced the camera on the chair top. I was
just trying for interesting patterns--light and dark. Several
observers have seen a tropical fish.

Originally, I was thinking of portraying this photo the way I saw it.
After projecting it at a camera club three years ago, several folks
said I should invert it.
This vessel is slowly disappearing from the Chesapeake. I think
the inversion symbolizes this notion. What do you think?

Intriguing photo. Nice use of rear-curtain flash synch. Uncluttered, dark background good choice to accentuate the motion.
