I agree with the observation above. Additionally, I would tilted the camera up a bit or moved back a step to get more of the pretty girl's face; the lowest section of the picture is unnecessary. Secondly, surely the dog's face is not as flat as it looks in this shot!

I agree: all the land features should have been out of the picture and the sun a bit closer to the centre, not on the edge. A longer focal length would have produced a better picture.

The lock of hair out of place should have been put back in place because it distracts from her expression/face. Secondly, I would have rotated/panned the camera about 5-10 degrees to the left to get more of the segmented reflection. The idea of this picture is nice.

The tree should not be in the centre of the picture - that's boring/flat/feels incomplete. Using the Rule of Thirds for composition would have much improved this shot.

Focusing is tricky when there are three distinct objects in the picture at different distances from the camera - requires focusing at a hyperfocal distance.

Here, it's not very clear what your subject is. I would have shot one picture with the horse/donkey and tree and another with the tree and humans. And maybe a third with the horse/donkey and humans... all using different/appropriate lenses.

Would have helped if you could have (somehow) generated more contrast between sky and clouds, or waited for more light for better contrast.

  1. Nice. By tilting the camera up slightly, or turning it 90 degrees on the lens axis, you could have eliminated the non-tree section of the dark zone and got more of the sky. Just a thought.
