At photography school most of us are using small "carry on luggage" with wheels and an extendable handle. A full fame camera and set of lenses gets VERY heavy if you try to carry them around all day. I have a ThinkTank bag, but I'd never walk far with it

I'm shooting up to 17mm full frame so I was looking at something slim

Hi
Does anyone know what "AUC" stands for? Does anyone know about this?
Kogan claims that it's a new B+W filter (maybe they mean updated), but I can't find any info on the Schneider Optics website or on the web at all. Very curious. I'm asking as I need a good variable polarizer and Kogan offered the best price.

That's great Daniel!

Can you trigger multiple flash units with the one 603II trigger?

Does anyone know if the "YONGNUO 2.4G Wireless Speedlite YN560-III" is compatible when off-camera, with the "YONGNUO RF-603II" mounted on the Canon 5D mark III hotshoe ?
I know it works with the Canon 5D Mark II , but I'm not sure about the 5D Mark III as the specifications don't mention this.

Cheers

Adam

... ok so Skyport won't HSS, so I'll begin to looking at using variable ND polarizer to bring down ambient backgrounds. I'll also need to get my hands on a Gossen Digisky to see how fiddly the menus are.

I'll also test HSS with Pocketwizards ... and change things manually ...

Hi Sheldon

Beautiful photos on your Flickr page with Elinchrom gear. Can the Gossen/ Skyport/ Quadra combination achieve High Speed Sync, just like the Pocketwizard/ Quadra with S head?

Hi

Can the Sekonic L-478DR light meter control the Elinchrom Quadra power levels through Pocketwizards ? ... or will I need to use skyport to control the power levels?

Cheers

Hi Ashley.
Just reviving an old thread. How did the Demb Saucer work out and what are you using now?

Thanks everyone for your quick replies.

I guess the extra 10% for the warranty isn't worth it, especially when I it comes time to buy the second camera for weddings.

Cheers

Hi this is my first post

I'm about to study photography and I am interested in wedding photography.

I will be buying a Canon 5D mark III to start learning on, and I'm wondering if the standard 1 year manufacturer's warranty will suffice or will I need the 3 year cover?

I will also be insuring the camera and equipment with my home and contents insurance.

... Not sure if it takes 1 year to find all the usual faults in Canon cameras.

Does anyone have any advice?

Cheers
