Other lenses to consider.

Tokina 11-16 f2.8 - Made for crop censor but will mount to canon full frame and will fill the frame at 14-16mm
Tokina 16-28 f2.8 - Full frame lens with great image quality but flare proned and doesn't except filters.
Samyang 14mm f2.8 - Full frame all manual lens with great image quality but pretty strong barrel distortion.

Spec sheets are worthless if you don't like actually using the camera. I tried hard to like the Nikon D600 because in terms of specs it should have been a better camera then the 6D. I took both out for a test drive and just never liked using the D600. If felt awkward and the button lay out was even more so. It's image output also seemed a little yellow. Greater specs mean nothing if you don't like using the camera.

I've had good success with the Yongnuo YN622 transceivers, you can pick up a pair at amazon for around $90 US. They are fully E-TTL.

Just to be Clear, the OP was talking about upgrading from a 60D and not a 5D Mark II. If you already own a mark II and are happy with it that's great. If you are buying new, in my opinion, It makes little sense to get the older model at around the same price when the newer model has more features and is an upgrade, even if only slightly for some of them, in most key features.

Forget the 5D mark ii and get the 6D. It beats the 5D mark II in just about every category you can think of. A plus is the memory cards you are using with your 60D will work just fine in the 6D but if you buy the 7D or 5D mark II you'll need to buy not nearly so cheap CF cards.

Until recently I owned that Tamron 70-300. The image quality was average but the lens is on the fragile side. I dropped it and the internals broke in multiple places.

I have 2 Yongnou 560 ex II's, 2 Yongnou 568 ex's, and 2 Yongnou YN622c radio triggers. All of them work great. I've put them through some real torture at a recent Habitat for Humanity event where they where fired probably 400 times in one night. The Yongnou 568's have full E-TTL functionality but might be a little pricey for you at close to $200 bucks. Yongnou does have other E-TTL flashes at different price points. The main difference I can see from lower price units and my 568's is that the 568's have rear curtain and hi-speed sync modes.
