    Beautiful Rays

          3

Comments and critique welcome. I was bent over working in my garden

and when I finally raised up and turned around, this is what I saw!

It took my breath! I do think that is the fastest I have ever run to

grab my camera! Honestly, the picture just doesn't do it full

justice. One of those times you just have to see it with the naked eye!

    Summer Sunset

Critiques and comments appreciated! I only had to step out as far as

my front porch to take this one! I am very blessed to be in such a

    beautiful setting!

    Move!

Comments appreciated! I can just hear this little one saying "Move!

You Haz My Spot!" The yellow one was a little riled when I took this

one. Notice the hair on back of the neck a little ruffled and the

protective shield of the eyes showing.

    Barn Babies

    Hi Charles,

Yes...this is where I should pay attention to my instincts.  I had the same thought about needing more space for this one.  Cuteness took over, though, and I decided to go ahead and see how it looked edited.  I have another shot of these two that I may submit later. Thanks for your input!

Comments appreciated! Wish you could see these babies in person...so

precious! The momma of these babies is deaf, but oh what a wonderful

    momma she is!

    Having a Hay Day

Comments please! This is one of our chickens named Maude. She loves

to sleep in the stall with Hit Man, one of our stallions. I have

learned to take my camera when making trips to the barn for anything,

as I find the most humorous situations out there! If you look in my

portfolio, you will see a very humorous shot of Hit Man (solid black

stallion) with his hair standing straight up. Also, in my portfolio,

is a funny one of Jock (gray stallion) with his head hanging over the

top of the stall door checking me out. Gotta love farm life!!

Gail, I agree....I also love to see a well worn bible!  This bible belonged to my Dad.  I took this picture not long after he passed away.  This is the hands of my step mother holding it.  This picture is very special to me!

Gail, yes I'm very busy it seems!  Most of the statues I've restored have been for indoors.  However, the last one I did sometime last year was a large concrete garden statue.  I've done some large and some small.  Yes, they can be extremely tedious and labor intensive..which is why I don't do it for a living. I only do them occasionally on the side.  This is my favorite one as she was a mess when the customer brought her in.  If I can locate her "before" picture, I'll have to share it with you!

Thank you for your input.  This may sound funny (I am still learning new things), but how do I make it larger?  I am currently using Corel PSP X2 for my editing.

  1. Hi Gail,

This is absolutely stunning!!!  I love the colors!  It has a very nice glow to it and..for me...has a magical feel! I just love it!

Looking forward to hearing from you again sometime!  It's been super busy here for me too!

    Best regards to you!

Gail, this cat is very special to me!!  His momma was run over and killed accidentally just a few days after he was born.  He was the only one of the litter that was able to be saved.....he was the strongest!  I bottle fed him and kept him with me, keeping him warm just about 24/7 to keep him alive.  He is 2 years old now!  We thought he was a female for awhile at first and I named him Flossie.  Sometime later, we realized "she" was a "he"!  Allan then wanted to name him Foster but he wouldn't respond when we called him.  We came up with a cross between the two names, so now we call him "Floster".
