<p>Like many here, I'd be more than happy to see this feature return. I see little reason for removing it, except perhaps for the purpose of preventing what I would expect to be a very modest number of support calls a year.<br>
That said, I'd be curious to hear from users of recent Nikon pro and semi-pro bodies if focus trap works with chipped manual lenses (such as the Zeiss ZF.2 series).<br>

<p>This is my first post here. I just purchased a D800E, returning to Nikon after an 8-year hiatus in Canon-land. I just set out to try trap focus, one of the much liked features from the F90/N90 and F5 days, and ended up here. As many here, I'd be more than happy to see this feature return.
