One of my favourites from your collection.  Long exposure plus flash?

I love the light. The rock formations just pop against the dark sky.

When I look at nature photographs, I always look for the unusual - subject, composition, point of view.  This one has that unusual component that makes it pop out of the bunch. I would have loved to have a more clear right third, especially the two palm in the foreground - far left and bottom right. Otherwise, great unusual scene.

Taken at f/8 and 400mm on an FX camera (600mm equivalent). Only

minimally edited - cropping, sharpening. I like the almost water colour effect

of the background. I would appreciate any critique.

The barren landscape and dark skies combine to create a dark mood which is very effective. It caught my eye right away. It could use some lens correction to correct the significant lean on the trees top right. Alternatively, crop them out. Overall, very moody, effective composition.
