The sky is fine, it's the tree, unfortunately, that hurts this picture. The deep blue is rather nice. Also, I notice a lot of shots of birds from the ground level upwards, and I'd try as much as possible to change the POV. IMO, only of course --congrats on getting any picture of a Bald Eagle at all! -
This is obviously a special place for you and family, but to my eyes, the photograph is very clinical -- ie, "here is my mother's house." I'd like to see the same shot in some different light, perhaps, or another angle, instead of centered in the frame. -
Superb shot, IMO. Almost looks like a charcoal drawing. Refreshingly different, for sure! -
