Like "Sky Blue" this evokes memories of chocolate, to be exact a chocolate spread my kids used to love which had white and milk chocolate "Swirls" in the jar, I Can't remember what it is called. This, to me is photography as art, and as such is bound to be subjective, you either like it or don't. Would make anice advertising shot for the spread tho.............

This is a shot of the "Claws" Little (relatively) brother in the

background during the final game of the 2004 Round Robin Series,

foreground is Brian Cahill scrum half passing the ball.

Maybe it's just my eyes wishing it to be so, but is that a load of snake tracks in the sand all around her? if that is so then pooh, bah, humbug to all you "it's gotta be a composite" freaks.

    I like it.

    Ooooops!

    Rob,

From what I gather they were looking for a sponsor and decided on this novel way to advertise the fact. I just laughed at the picture afterwards (which was one of a run of three showing the pass to the miss). We played them in the provincial playoffs, they hail from Monivea in Co. Galway (Connaught champions). As it turns out we won the series this year for the first time and moved up into the "Big Leagues" where we start next year.

  1. Rob,

As you asked, f16, 1/2000, he just happened to run on take-off and his wings were clipping the water :-) This is a beautiful spot (Lough Gur, "http://www.loughgur.com/indexmain.htm" for a website) but I messed up with a lot of shots on the day, I hadn't the camera too long (A couple of days only) and need to go back to do the place justice. Anyway thanks for the comments, the rugby photos folder will expand more than any other I fear tho :-)

What else is there to say really? This is a case for the use of PS or PSP or The gimp or whatever, producing this brilliance from what the photographer calls a shot lacking "punch".

It has simplicity, clarity, crispness, just about everything that I aspire to with my own, but just don't make it. Thank you for sharing it with us all here.
