Those people on the right are fine.  They add a little interest, especially since they are right next to an enormous stone. 

The color is problematic.  Too much green on the rocks.  The color of the sky and the grass are fine.

I, too, like this better than the vertical one.

This picture is excellent, as is the B/W one.  They make a great pair.  Note that the small water bottle and the vast sky are both blue!  That helps bring the viewer's attention to the small water bottle.

Excellent!  I love this picture.  Everything works - composition, almost monochrome, reflection.  Five stars.

Does the bird add anything?  Its too small and is not in a useful place.  As it is, the bird interferes with the nice back-and-forth flow of the composition.

Very good, but it looks like the lake will pour out the left side of the picture.  There's no horizon so you're free to tilt the picture clockwise a little bit.

Overexposed.  The highlights and the lighter vegetation could be a tad darker and with more detail.  The human is not very interesting, at least not pictorially.  I wonder about his providing a firm support for the camera, especially with the long lens he must be using.  Maybe if he were wearing a red hat or a red shirt.  The composition is good.  The viewer's eyes are drawn down the slope to the lake and then across the lake to the human.  Perhaps using the rule of thirds might help.  Remove part of the right side.  What is he photographing?

Too light, to the extent that highlights, e.g. Max' chest, are washed out.  You might not be able to salvage those details from the negative or digital file. In other words, its overexposed.  Otherwise, you've got nice colors and nice composition.  I like the way the plant frames Max' face.

Very interesting interplay between MAX and the background.  They are so similar that at first, I thought the part veering off to the left was the cat.  However, that would make for a discombobulated cat.  Now I see that his hind end veers off to the right and the rest is background.  So, what is it that veers off to the left???
