  1. Not the greatest perspective of a very beautiful old light house. Good light though. Try not to center the subject matter. Step back and capture more of the lovely surroundings. I have shot this place quite a few times, see image above.

    We are all at various levels in photography Mr Malcomson. Criticism needs to be constructive my friend. Why can't you explain why this particular image doesn't work for you, rather than "bash" the student? Point out what improvements might "add" something to the piece. Stephen is learning Photography and you as a photographer are setting an example for all of us.

    I remember this project. You had to stay in one location, one perspective and blow through a bunch of film. The image needs a stronger focal point. My eyes move back and forth from the tree-tops in the forground to the silhouette in mid-frame. I'd like to see a tighter shot of either the silhouette area, especially with fog/mist or just a tight shot of the reflection itself. I know right where you stood for this shot. I believe that there is a wooden platform that piers out onto the pond.
